Sigenergy Accelerates Energy Innovation with ‘AI for All’ Strategy

To meet surging global demand for energy storage, Sigenergy is betting big on smarter infrastructure. The recent inauguration of its Nantong Smart Energy Center in Jiangsu Province, attended by nearly 2,000 guests from over 50 countries, underscores this ambition. At the core of this expansion is the company’s “AI in All” strategy, a comprehensive plan to embed artificial intelligence into every facet of its business—from product design and software to manufacturing and energy management.

This strategic pivot is a clear signal of a wider industry shift. The era of competing on hardware alone is over; differentiation now comes from integrated systems and superior user experience. Sigenergy is positioning AI as the foundational layer for this new reality. At the product level, AI optimizes energy management and dispatch. In software, it handles system configuration and monitoring. And at the system level, it coordinates operations across residential, commercial, and utility-scale installations.

“We’re committed to leading the global energy transition through AI-driven innovation,” declared CEO Tony Xu at the launch event. This isn’t just talk. The company’s cloud-native architecture, designed from day one to support AI and heavy computing, provides a crucial competitive edge, enabling continuous evolution and seamless upgrades.

A look inside the Nantong facility reveals the scale of this manufacturing ambition. Spanning 136,000 m², the center is set to produce over 300,000 inverters and battery packs annually. Automation is the key: welding processes achieve a 99.9% yield rate, while AI-powered quality inspections have replaced manual sampling entirely. With material handling and equipment adjustments also fully automated, all production data flows into a central command system for real-time visibility.

This manufacturing prowess supports an expanded product portfolio targeting three key market segments. For the residential market, the SigenStor Neo offers a modular, all-in-one platform integrating a solar inverter, battery converter, energy management system, gateway, and battery pack. This is complemented by dedicated commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solutions, positioning Sigenergy to address nearly every energy scenario. The company is already leveraging this comprehensive lineup across more than 80 countries via its network of distributors and installation partners, with further geographic expansion on the horizon.
