LG유플러스, 혁신적인 에이전트형 AICC 출시
In a move set to redefine the customer service landscape, LG Uplus, in partnership with OpenAI, has launched its groundbreaking agent-type AI Contact Center (AICC). This technology transcends simple automated responses, reaching a new level where it proactively understands a customer’s underlying intent in real-time to propose optimal solutions. This empowers human agents to focus their expertise on more complex inquiries, dramatically enhancing customer satisfaction.
The new AICC’s competitive edge is built on three core capabilities:
- Context-Based Judgment: The AI moves beyond pre-defined scripts, generating answers by grasping the intent and context of a customer’s speech.
- Automated Task Planning: A ‘planning’ function allows the AI to independently determine the priority and procedure for a consultation, minimizing the risk of AI hallucinations.
- Continuous Learning: The system automatically improves by learning from real customer reactions, drawing from a massive dataset of 33 million annual consultations.
모바일 및 AIDC 사업의 두드러진 성장세
This strategic launch is perfectly timed to create powerful synergies with LG Uplus’s strengthening mobile and AI Data Center (AIDC) businesses. The mobile division is performing strongly, buoyed by an expansion of 5G subscribers and the wider adoption of premium plans. Simultaneously, surging corporate demand for digital transformation is fueling rapid growth in the AI Data Center (AIDC) market.
Ahn Hyung-kyun, head of the Enterprise AI Business Group at LG Uplus, expressed confidence, stating, “This technology, developed since our partnership with OpenAI was announced last July, will deliver tangible value to both our customers and enterprise clients.”
향후 전망 및 기대 효과
The agent-type AICC is positioned to become an essential solution for driving corporate operational efficiency. For small and medium-sized enterprises facing labor shortages, this technology presents a critical opportunity to secure professional customer response capabilities without the overhead.
Looking ahead, LG Uplus plans to demonstrate its technical leadership at MWC26 by showcasing a self-evolving ‘digital human’ agent. The company’s strategy involves optimizing the AICC platform for specific industries while focusing on global market penetration to further sharpen its competitive advantage.
Ultimately, this is far more than a simple product release; it marks a pivotal moment that will accelerate corporate digital transformation and elevate the global standing of Korea’s ICT industry. By adding the AICC as a powerful new growth engine to its already robust mobile and AIDC businesses, LG Uplus is cementing its position as the technology innovation leader in the domestic telecommunications market.
