NEXUS Unveils Game, AI, Blockchain Strategy at GDC 2026

Game developer NEXUS is set to unveil its on-chain game strategy, combining gaming, AI, and blockchain technologies, at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in March 2026, aiming to capture the global market. NEXUS will conduct exhibitions and sessions under the slogan ‘CROSS, the gamechain’.

NEXUS’s AgentVerse Strategy

At this GDC, NEXUS plans to present its ‘AgentVerse’ ecosystem vision and share development know-how for AI agent game platforms ‘MoltArena’ and ‘MoltyRoyale’. Isaac Lee, Head of AI & Blockchain at NEXUS, will deliver a keynote speech on ‘AgentVerse: The Future of Games,’ focusing on how AI agents will transform the gaming landscape. MoltyRoyale is an entertainment platform where multiple AI agents compete simultaneously, designed to allow users to watch the agents’ decision-making processes via real-time text logs. Since its launch on February 4, over 770,000 AI agents have been generated.

Technical Demonstrations and Platform Unveiling

The technical demonstration session will showcase a development environment combining the AI-based game creation platform ‘Verse8’ with blockchain technology. Participants can directly experience linking tokens and liquidity pools to games through ‘CROSS Forge’. Additionally, ‘CROSS Hub 2.0,’ integrating Web2 and Web3 games, will be unveiled for the first time. CROSS Hub 2.0 aims to provide integrated services to game companies and users based on blockchain technology.

Growth and Outlook of the On-Chain Game Market

On-chain games combine the gaming world with blockchain technology, characterized by immutable in-game data and interoperability of assets. In-game characters and items are represented as tokens, allowing users to freely store, transfer, and trade them. The global blockchain game market was valued at $126.2 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach $691.1 billion by 2030, representing an average annual growth rate of 21.8%.

Expansion of the AI Game Market

The AI game market is also experiencing rapid growth. According to a report by Precedence Research, the global AI in gaming market is projected to grow from $5.85 billion in 2024 to $37.89 billion in 2034. This represents an average annual growth rate of 20.5%. With the active adoption of AI technology in game development, the growth rate of the gaming market is expected to accelerate further.

Strategic Implications and Conclusion

NEXUS’s participation in GDC 2026 is analyzed as a strategic move to build a new gaming ecosystem through the convergence of gaming, AI, and blockchain technologies. Through its AI agent-based game platform and on-chain game strategy, NEXUS is expected to lead innovation in the gaming market and provide users with new gaming experiences and value. However, concerns remain regarding job insecurity for developers due to AI technology advancements and the potential for low-quality AI-generated content. NEXUS must continue its efforts to address these issues and build a sustainable gaming ecosystem.
